Checkpoint Information
TSA’s established screening hours are 4:15am until the last scheduled domestic departure from Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD). The TSA may alter these hours based on airline schedule or flight departure delays.
Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport and the Transportation Security Administration have
taken significant steps to minimize the amount of time you spend waiting
to go through the passenger screening checkpoint.
Typical wait time is
no more than a few minutes.
However, during peak travel hours or days, lines may be longer than normal - typically 5am-7am and 4pm-6pm. Summer months typically require travelers to budget extra time. Your checkpoint wait time may also depend on the number of carry-on bags and types of
packed items. Please plan according. Tables and benches are readily
available for passenger convenience while revesting.
Remember to take all items out of your pockets and place them inside
your carry-on. Divest medicines and baby foods separately. All other
liquids, gels and aerosols under 3.4 oz. must follow the established TSA
rules which can be found at www.tsa.gov.
Lost & Found
The Lost & Found contacts are for items left at TSA security checkpoints or items missing from checked baggage. Items left behind at TSA security checkpoints are held by TSA for a minimum of 30 days or until the item is reunited with the original owner. Threat Level
All passengers are advised to be aware of the current Department of
Homeland Threat Advisory Level. Increases in this level may dictate
additional security measures to be taken by the airport and your air
carrier and you should allow extra time for these measures to be carried
out.
